Weddings in today’s society are a multi-billion dollar industry. There is an enormous amount of time and energy dedicated to making sure the ceremony is perfect. The problem is that the ceremony is just a blink of an eye compared to the entire marriage. If life after the ceremony is ignored and not prepared for, then couples are more likely to experience tension in the marriage.
We’ve found that couples who take the time to prepare for marriage before it actually begins are much more likely to succeed in their relationship. It gives couples a chance to talk about and work through potential tension points in their relationship before they take place. It’s not to say they won’t experience some struggles, but they will be more apt to recognize what the problem is and be able to work through it.
Marriage is an incredible gift that God created for us to enjoy. Premarital coaching also offers a unique opportunity for couples to understand why God created marriage and what His design is suppose to look like. Despite what most people portray marriage to be, it is the most fulfilling relationship we’ll experience with another person. We believe it is critical for couples to understand this to get the most out of their marriage.
